Stephen Purcell

Stephen Purcell was born on November 20, 1964 in Red Bank, New Jersey. He graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (B.S., 1987).

Prior to attending law school, he worked for several years as a claims adjuster with State Farm Insurance Company in New Jersey and Nebraska. While employed with State Farm, he was a member of the company’s nationwide natural disaster emergency response team and a designated Re-inspector Trainer for handling extensive property damage loss claims.

Stephen obtained his law degree in 1994 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. During law school, he was a member of the Creighton Law Review and the 1992 International Law Moot Court Champion.

Following graduation from law school, he was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the United States District Court of New Jersey. He accepted a position as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Frank A. Buczynski (Civil Part), Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean County (1994-1995) before going into private practice where he has always specialized in insurance defense litigation work.
